You really expect people on MSE to get that? 'Whilst you have good intentions you are losing people with your legalese words.

:rotfl: Does that mean I'm on the road to hell? Could explain our heatwave this summer :D
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride

Here are some facts for a few of the paving experts on here
    1) I booked the week off to sort out the boarder hence the delivery of the stone chippings ,i cant cancel my leave so i had to have the repairs done immediately. Thus wasting a days leave for the repairs

    2) If you look at the photos unholyangel have posted
The blue mark where the pallet hit is about 17 blocks up
This shunted all 17 blocks below it down thus breaking the haunching in several places .Then the pallet was moved to the corner where i original wanted it

    3) As the haunching was now defective ,i had to now remove and replace a large section as clearly showing in photo 2 .This took 10 bags of Sharp sand a 2 bags of cement £25 .I gave the neighbour £50 just as a goodwill gesture for helping out and use of his mixer .

Im not after the world just the £75 i had to payout ,which i think is reasonable

I think £75 is very reasonable for the amount of work involved. You could write a LBA to the company and see what happens, you don't have to take it further if you don't want to.

    Your mistake was to go ahead and fix the damage without first allowing the delivery company an opportunity to;
Acknowledge the damage was done by their driver
    Inspect the damage physically
Offer to arrange their own repair at their own cost

Now you are working backwards trying to recover your costs without the company having accepted liability.

(If you aren't trying to recover the cost of your extra day off work, then why did you mention it in the opening post?)

Because its annoying ,as I could of been out with the kids as it was half term

And as I previously stated, I had booked the week off ,which i didnt want to waste waiting for the company to responed / inspect the damage

Look , all i wanted to know was i being fobbed off by gravelmaster , hoping i would go away after signing the POD
I wasn't after opinions on the colour/style/workmanship of the driveway
  • Barely any damage worth bothering about, don't waste any more energy on this pointless exercise

    As I said in post # 11.

But as is getting more & more common on MSE the thread has developed into a forumite a** kicking contest.
