I have recently taken out a new BT card which also gives a short 3 month 0% introductory offer on purchases.
I intend to use this new card for purchases for a short time as I will in future be using the card which I have cleared with the balance transfer for purchases but want to get a nil balance statement before I start to use the other card again.
The purchases offer is 3 months from the date of account opening.
Does this mean that
each individual purchase made within the first 3 months will remain at 0% for 3 months from the date of the purchase
OR
that full repayment of the entire purchases balance must be made by the day which is exactly 3 months after the opening of the account in order to avoid interest?
I will of course to take care to ensure that all purchases have appeared on a statement before I repay them.

The latter. Your statement should give details of each individual offer and when they expire. You need to clear the amount before the expiry date.

You should also check the allocation of payments for your card to make sure payments will be credited to statemented purchases first.

IMO you open the account say on 1/08/2016 then all purchases will be interest free until 1/11/2016 regardless of when they appear on your statement.
I tend to ignore these type of offers as IMO it is too short a time to bother with.
