What should I install?

Ok I'm having a couple of problems with my pc so on a new ssd did a clean install of win 10 pro. Don't really want to install lots of stuff that slows down the pc.

So far have installed Malwarebytes, libreoffice, paint.net, vlc player.

Would like an internet securlty program but when I took my brothers pc for repair they said you no longer need internet security as win 10 has it built in. Is it true or should I install one to be safe.

Also could someone recommend something to block ads whilst browsing the web and watching youtube?

Windows 10 has built in security software. It is perfectly good. There is no need for third party software if you don't want any.

    Is it like win defender??

I use comodo as AV and also adblocker.
Malwarebytes also available and Glary utilities for other stuff and quick checks.
Do any of those interfere with Win 10 built in security software?

Isn't Libre Office not supported any longer and Apache Office is the way to go ????

Libre Office is a very useful free alternative to Microsoft Office and works fine in Windows and also Linux based systems such as Linux Mint. It is updated at regular intervals across all platforms.

    Yeah correct.

I got my Apache and Libre mixed up.

Any ideas how to install Libre and transfer all my Apache files to Libre without losing any??

Defender built into W10 is fine, coupled with a bit of common sense
(no clicking on shady links in random emails - ALWAYS clicking "NO" if you computer asks for your permission to install something you werent expecting etc ect)

For an add free internet, use firefox and the add blocking add on of your choice (ublock, ABP etc)
