So today I've strated the DRO process through step change.
The advisor said to contact all my creditors to let them know what is happening - call them.
I'm up to date with all the payments for now.
Should I write to them? Do I need to let them know?
I'm a nervous wreck at the moment and I'm not sure if I can handle speaking to them on the phone.
I can't wait for this nightmare to be over with tbh!
Thanks for any replies.

Hi,
Your up to date with all your payments ?

Hi
I agree you don’t necessarily need to contact your creditors at this point. If your DRO isn’t going to start before your next payments are due it’s worth writing to them to let them know what is happening. You don’t need to speak to them on the telephone.

Hi there, it's been about a week now since I rang step change and they said that they would send out the DRO papers withing 3-5 days. I've not had anything yet. Because I've now missed 2 payments on credit cards and payday loans I'm starting to get texts, emails and calls.
I've set up a different bank account in the meantime.
I've also emailed step change asking when I could expect them.
Has anyone else had to wait so long?
I just have visions of debt collectors at the door. Irrational I know but I just want to start the process.
I've also started to be contacted by creditors. I've emailed Sunny explaining my financial difficulties and asked for their patience while it's being sorted out.0
