mental capacity discharge hospital

Just an update on things and a thanks to everyone who input previously. Mum was placed in a care home on discharge from hospital, initially with 4 weeks Health care funding, now extended by a further 4 weeks pending further reassessment at a date to be arranged to gauge Mum's physical status. I downloaded the Decision Support tool from the internet and attended the meeting with the NHS rep, Social Worker and care home representative. I didn't expect Mum to get Health care funding because of the stated difficulty in getting it, but was surprised at the depth of questions asked at the meeting. It was very thorough and lasted for over 2 hours.0

Without a Power of Attorney in place, B has no right to interfere. He would have to apply to the court of protection first and be granted a deputyship.0

It is very difficult to get a deputyship for welfare decisions - the CoP generally sticks with the best interests process. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
