application not found?

when i try to close some windows my computer jams and an error message saying windows has to close down -send error message to microsoft.when i do this i get this message-

application not found
can anyone tell me what this means and what is causing the fault in the first place? thanks for any help you can give me.

seems possible that it is a spyware thing

found on another forum this line in a Hijack this log file

R1 - HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftInternet Connection Wizard,Shellnext = http://oca.microsoft.com/resredir.asp?SID=986&iBucketTable=1&iBucket=22492347&LCID=1030&OS=5.1.2600.2.00010300.1.0

which is the same line ??

have you got the Microsoft antispyware on your PC ??

if you download Hijackthis from

http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip

make sure that you actually extract HijackThis to its own folder. DO NOT run it from within a zip manager (Winzip), as no backups will be saved.


You do not have to change any settings at this point.
Notice the empty section in the middle. This is where the scan results will be listed later. <<--- Examine the two sets of buttons. To start the scan, Click the Scan button on the left. This is how HijackThis looks when first opened.
you should then get a screen like this



tick only the box for the entry i posted above and click fix, then exit the program and reboot

i don't have micro anti spyware.i did the malicious software removal and nothing showed up.i'm not sure how to use the highjack this but i did a scan and i could not see the line in above post.
