Hello. Sorry I don't know how to start a new thread!

You click the new thread button ;)
I have seen ads from companies asking if we had store cards or catalogues in the 80's 90's or 2000's but the company takes 35%.

dont forget the 20% VAT on that as well.
Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of these please?

Your credit records are not in the public domain. There are some things that can be found. Such as secured loans (land registry) and your credit file (last 6 years). Some just send a speculative letter to most of the mainstream lenders.

I have searched for information on this but can't find any.

I can't remember all of them but I had loads in the 80's and 90's!
Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of these please? I would like to know how to find which ones I had and then how to proceed. I don't have any records from that time.

    Thanks in advance :)

If you don't have records or memory then a claims company can't do anything as they rely on you providing all the details so they can post off your complaint for you (very nice of them only charging 30-40% of any refund for one stamp!)

Don't forget also not all store cards had PPI and not all PPI was miss-sold

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
