Thermal insulation

Has anyone used SEMPATAC THERMAL?
We have a damp and mould problem due to penetrating damp. After the exterior has been remedied, this Sempatac has been recommended for the internal cold walls.
Failing that I wondered if a house warming party may help ha ha
Seriously though, has anyone used this stuff?

I wonder who recommended it judging by the reviews thrown up by Google the only people who do recommend it are those selling it.
Also if I was your landlady I'd not be happy with you putting this on your walls. Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama0 -
It was the Landlady that recommended it. I was hoping to find someone that had used it.

There are tried and tested ways of insulation so I would stick to those.

Do make sure all the mould and damp you have had over the past 5 years has dried out before you start to redecorate with anything. Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama0

Thank-you cbrown372. I have now received the planned works. The outside will be first. Then all the internal mouldy walls will be knocked out and re-plastered. As they are cold walls anyway, it was suggested that this sempatac be applied before decorating. It was also discovered that when the new roof was done, damage was caused to the capped chimney stacks. There was a large area on two walls, where the old fire places would have been. Clearly water marks. I am glad that our situation will at last be sorted, starting outside. Our landlady has just been throwing money away, as the problem was always caused by exterior faults. The free holders, who live below, are responsible for the major part of the work (I think the cost is shared). The landlady, would just not enforce the situation. It took a full inspection from the head of Environmental health, to at last confirm our suspicions. We have offered to help on the internal side, so we can cut her costs down. We are not bad tenants really, just frustrated that there is so much mould, and such a battle. We have been here for 15 years.
