Nationwide Flexplus debit card - ATM daily withdrawal limit whilst abroad?

I am intending to use Nationwide Flexplus debit card to withdraw Euro's whilst on holiday in Spain soon. I have a joint account so wife and I both have cards.
I need to withdraw as much as possible on day one to pay for accomodation and other costs.
Nationwide's own support page link suggests daily ATM limit of £500 is "per day for each customer on the account" - this would suggest to me that wife and I could withdraw £500 each on day 1?
I've just had an online chat with Natiowide and their rep told me that the total limit is £500 per account, this seems to contradict their own support page info.
Has anyone got any recent experience of withdrawing over £500 using 2 cards on same joint account?
Thanks

I suspect the rep is wrong, and that the withdrawal limit is per card (I assume your cards have different numbers). However, you'll be charged a 2% transaction fee for the withdrawals so while it's not the worst card to use there are others (e.g. Metro, N&P) that are significantly better, so you should consider opening an account with one of those.0

Thanks for the reply, I am hoping she was wrong, our cards do have different numbers.
Flexplus withdrawals are fee free abroad (I hope) I think it's just purchases which attract the 2% fee?0 -
I thought flex plus was free?0

You can withdraw an additional €650 each without fees on day one if you both sign up for the Revolut prepaid MasterCard on the smartphone app, then using the Nationwide cards to load funds. Use the invite code MSE when signing up, it'll add an extra £5 to your balance if you load £500 or more.Evolution, not revolution0

The Flexplus account gives free overseas withdrawals. Whether you can do two in one day is debatable, though.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Yes, I thought that was clear from their support page. It's just odd that customer service were adamant that it's £500 per account. I just wondered if anyone had actually done this recently who could reassure me, thanks for all the replies so far.0
