Poor credit score

I've got a poor credit score but the only obvious issue is a default on a mobile phone account in Nov 2011. The default was £137 but the current balance is £57. This is obviously on my file until Nov 2017, is it worth just settling the account now? I've had no contact from the company so assume it is written off but just wondering whether it would improve my score.

It doesn't matter if it changes your score or not.
But lenders will generally view you better if you have settled your defaults.0 -
Thanks zx81 that's what I thought just didn't want to waste £57 if it made no difference0

If it means the debt collectors won't contact you about the debt then get it paid off.0
