It's been confirmed that they've found cases of the Zika virus and they've said that any ladies that think they may be pregnant should not visit Florida, unless it's essential.
So if you've booked your holidays maybe you should check with the insurance what happens if you cancel.

Hi - my wife and I booked Florida for my 30th at the end of the year. We're trying to get our money back from Virgin via Travel Trolley for the flights (which cost around a £1000) and have been told that we will only receive the tax refund of £95 each (180 total). I'm trying to claim the full money back due to the extreme circumstances of the situation (as we are trying for a baby) , but Virgin are only offering that refund, or a date and venue change which we dont really care for.
Any advice anyone can offer?0 -
Can't you just wait until you get back to start trying for a baby?0

Are Virgin ignoring this? Perhaps see what they are saying on social media.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
We could - but conclusive advice as to when it's safe to try for a baby is scant (I've seen between 8 weeks and 6 months), and even then I'm not sure I'd really be comfortable if one of us had become infected.0

Have you checked with your travel insurance ?0
