My iPad as POS vs traditional POS

So I have this iPad that I rarely use. I'm opening a small clothes and accessories store soon and I need a POS. I read somewhere that you can use your tablet as your POS. Which would be a better investment? To get a software that'll turn my iPad into a POS or to just get a regular POS? Which is more expensive?

With iPads there is a wealth of add on gadgets (card readers), stands and apps for POS. You need to be able to run latest IOS version so iPad can't be ancient last-generation type I would guess.
I think you have a good idea here.
Here's a reputable company that I used back in the day for a market stall and online (customer not present) payments:

They have the Apple app, card readers that connect to Apple, etc. And provide the banking link.
Their customer service was always great.0 -
In addition the reply above I believe iZettle also offer mobile card readers that can be linked to iPad.
See: https://www.izettle.com/gbIt's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

I'm confused. Obviously, POS as an acronym must have multiple meanings
Piece Of !!!!!! doesn't seem to fit in this context.0 -

Is Izettle similar to Tsys? They offer a flat rate mobile cc processing fee, I don't know if it is a good deal though, on their site, it says that the monthly fee is only around 10 dollars and the package already includes a credit card machine reader.. They also offer a 50 dollar monthly package in which they'll give you a free tablet lol.. in my case I don't need it anymore since I have my own,, so I'm thinking if whether I should get the 10 dollars monthly or not.. what do you think?0
