Parking ticket from CPM (UK Car Park Management) advice needed

Hello,
I have read through a few different threads and have an understanding of the situation, but i don't know if i have made a silly error.
I was fined for parking in a car park near to my work. I got told by many people who do it to just ignore the parking tickets because they are private and have no power. After reading into it i am a bit worried.
I received the first notification quite a while a go - mid May - 2 from CPM and now from a debt collector at the middle of July. The debt collector states it is part of the IPC and BPA. I have ignored it still...What do i do? Is the next step court action? Getting worried now. Any advice would be appreciated!

It's NOT a fine .... just an invoice. You need to put right whoever told you to ignore it. You should have appealed and if you were not successful they pass it to debt collectors. This is common practice by the scammers.
The debt collectors just want to scare you, they only act on behalf of the PPC with no legal rights, all they can do is refer back to CPM who will then decide if they want to try court.
Do not contact any debt collector, the only power they have is sticking a stamp to an envelope and wasting their own money
NOT YOUR PROBLEM
If and only if CPM take you to court, return back here
CPM and all other PPC's, hate this forum .. cannot blame them, I mean if you were a scammer you would not like being exposed0 -

Thanks for the advice! So i should just leave it until i receive correspondence from CPM? Or should i appeal to CPM first?0 -
I have received a letter today from the Debt collection agency stating court action intended. I'm not sure if this is the letter i am needing to action on or wait for CPM.
I would upload the letter but it will not let me as a new user. It states i have to make a payment by mid August otherwise they will pass my file to a creditor with recommendation to commence court action. It refers to a court case. 'In light of the landmark court ruling Beavis-v-ParkingEye LTD we urge you to make contact with is without delay.
Should i ignore?0 -

Should i ignore?
Please name the Debt collector.
Please understand that a debt collector has no power and all they can do because you will ignore them is pass it back to CPM who are the principal.
Beavis v Parking Eye was a specific case and nothing to do with you, the argument is dead in the water. The debt collector is trying to scare you , they are complete idiots0 -
This is a lying scumbag debt collector, they will not recommend to the creditor that court action be started as that will stop them from scamming you, and they will get nothing!
Don't have anything to do with debt collectors, they only send out scrap paper.
Have you not read the newbies start here thread yet?0 -
I have read through the newbie thread and understand where i am. Was getting a bit confusing as there was a lot of info that didn't seem relatable. Thanks for all your comments, i will sit this out and wait for court action!
Am i right in saying even if i went to court and lost, I wiin not receive a CCJ if i pay within 28 days after the hearing?
Kind regards0 -
