So we accepted an offer 5 weeks ago on our house and today we have recieved the contract and land registry documents that we must sign etc also 2 queries that have come up about when the gas heating system was installed and if we have ever been charged for party wall works.
Does this mean it's coming to an end

'Fraid not. It isn't until contracts are actually exchanged that you can be 99.99% certain the sale will go through.
An average time for a house sale is about 12 weeks, but if yours is straighforward, it might be a few weeks faster.
It depends if there's a chain, how long it is and whether those in it can easily agree a completion date.
Then there is always the possibility of a legal problem arising.....but let's not be pessimistic!0 -
