Would a roofer carry out all of these jobs?

We need various jobs completed before winter, think they're all for a roofer, but would appreciate confirmation.
- Replace wooden soffits that have rotted through (to the extent a bird nested behind one...)
- Replace guttering
- Possibly replace iron wear at the base of downpipes (not sure if they're just blocked, or something more sinister)

Yes. .................0

A roofer is exactly who I would call to do those jobs. (we had soffits/fascias/gutters and down pipes along with dry verges all done by a roofer last year)0
-
I would ask a carpenter, not a roofer.

While a roofer could do all these jobs. Lots of other trades could do them equally well.
If I had wanted them done it would never have occurred to me to contact a roofer.
Builder, carpenter, handyman amongst others. If I wanted tiles replaced, then definitely a roofer.0 -
If you're replacing wood with PVC, then a lot of double glazing companies do that as a sideline.
Otherwise, a general builder. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Yes. .................
And yes again, but so would any UPVC installer, joiner or general builder, anyone in the trade with a head for heights to be honest.
Where would I go, the UPVC installing guy to be honest..
Footnote, change fascias etc don't be hoodwinked into over cladding.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Several UPVC installers that I have encountered over the years started out as carpenters.0

No you don't want a roofer that's totally the wrong trade & they wouldn't be interested anyway, there are cladding firms out there or a good handymanI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0
