I have checked no 1 currency and their rate is not too bad - £1 = €1.1701

Buying foreign cash will never give you rates as good as using a suitable card.

Metro Bank in the London area issues a debit card that's fee free in Europe and gives the straight MasterCard rate, when you open an account in branch.
Revolut prepaid MasterCard entails no credit check, perfect interbank exchange rate (slightly off on weekends), no fees except 2% on ATM withdrawals over €650 per calendar month.Evolution, not revolution0 -
I have found Kanoo Travel (http://www.kanoocurrency.co.uk/) provide slightly higher rates here in Brum. One thing to consider that if you are looking at €900, the rate differences might not be significant in total and the amount you spend getting to the best rate might eat up any potential savings.
Just remember never to use the airport locations as you will definitely be paying to the hilt.0
