What is a good bank as well as one that rewards switching?

Hi Guys
I am getting really fed up of HSBC. Every time I call them, I end up having to wait about 30 minutes, just to talk to someone.
I am looking to move all my direct debits from them so I think I may as well take advantage of any rewards that are offered by banks by switching.
What is a good bank, as well as one that rewards you for switching? Even if I get £100 for switching; it is better than nothing as I plan to leave HSBC anyways.

I have a Halifax account - no problems.

    I have a Co-op account - no problems.

Both the above offer a switching bonus - you could check terms and conditions.

I have had an account with HSBC for many a year but have very rarely had to contact by phone - the 6% saver is useful.

I have been with First Direct many years, and wouldn't leave them to get a bonus.
I have made a swap from Santander to Nationwide and got a bonus by being recommended by a friend.
Haven't found any problems with Nationwaide, and have also got a free (basic) travel policy.

What do you keep ringing them for?

I've had to call my bank once in the last three years.
  • The Co-op have been very good over the last few years. Excellent phone service especially, and £150 to switch.
