Tesco clubcard/Stena - triple value? Maybe not.

Triple spending points, we are told. So, for example, £25 in Tesco vouchers equates to £75 to spend at Stena.
However, if you attempt to book a ferry crossing, using Tesco clubcard rewards, the starting price is much higher.
I'm looking at sailing on Tuesday Aug 2 from Dublin to Holyhead at 20.40. Not using Clubcard, prices are £99, £109 and £119 on Stena's Economy, Flexi and Premium price range. Use Clubcard, the starting price is £135.
The above is true in the majority of sailings.
It's not triple value.
Beware.
