Congrats, your situation seems very similar to my own, we've been hoping of exchange since Wednesday when were told our buyers deposit had cleared, but out sol hasn't (or so he says) been able to speak to them to exchange. We all verbally agreed to move on the 20th last week, then our buyers sent a letter saying the 21st, only 2 days after saying the 20th!
Now my Sol won't return any of my phone calls, to tell me where we are at. I get the feeling our buyer is pushing for an exchange as late as possible as his sol tells our EA one thing and our sol another. I feel on the verge of a nervous breakdown.0 -
Hi Frostygills
I can so sympathise with you. I have been diagnosed with "Acute Anxiety" over this damn house selling business.
I just Thank God its not my home or else I think I would have been tipped completely over the edge.
All I could think of was to pester pester pester.
I called the estate agent, my solicitor, the buyer and kept repeating what I wanted to happen. This was because after being flexib;le and friendly to everyone else all along, I felt I lost all control and was being treated badly. It had to stop.
I do hope it all falls into place very soon for you.
Once it does the relief is enormous. Life can start again.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.:A Goddess :A0
