  • Miss_Riot I've been looking at doing the same thing, I'm not pagan but love the idea of a handfasting ceremony outdoors so I've been getting in touch with as many campsites in my target area and asking about full site hire. I've probably made about 25 enquires and so far had 4 come back to say they'd be willing to do it. Prices have varied from £300 to £1400 for weekend hire.

Here's a list of campsites with rally fields (big bookings) but worth just going through the main site as well to be honest.

Ooops sorry only just seen this :o

Not Midlands, I'm down south, but must be a cave in Wales somewhere ;) I'd like the Black Country museum up there, that would be a fab backdrop for a vintage wedding!!!

  • Avoncroft museum of historic buildings might tick your boxes - they have fields so they may be prepared to help you with camping.

I note you are looking for somewhere in the West Midlands?

We were pretty much like you as didn't want a hotel, however we looked at two venues which were a bit different. Fazeley Studios in Digbeth is fantastic and Inhave previously attended a wedding here which was lovely, and Hogarths in Dorridge. Again having previously attended a lovely wedding here.

Hogarths is a hotel however it is a boutique hotel with absolutely stunning grounds! I think it's set in 32 acres with a lake and an island on the lake.

We have decided to go with Hogarths due to this and it being a summer wedding, and decided on a hog roast to feed everyone which is a bit different to the three course meal affairs! It's a small wedding (about 70 guests) and the quote we got was very competitive!
