Car Logbook (V5C) has an INCORRECT detail, requesting DVLA to changee it?
My friend has noticed a detail on their DVLA logbook
incorrect.
The car is actually a petrol car, but the logbook incorrectly says diesel.
What is the procedure of changing this,
by writing in to DVLA?
or is there a form to fill in and send?
Do they require proof that it is a petrol (so that what we are changing is correct)
Has this happened to you, what did you do ?
incorrect.

Why doesn't your friend ask the DVLA, and so get the right answer?
On the forum a bunch of random strangers will give different answers, most of which will be wrong. And he/she won't know which is which.0 -

Maybe if you don't have anything useful to help the OP you shouldn't bother yourself responding.0 -
Danny G, you're mate could try the following link - https://emaildvla.direct.gov.uk/emaildvla/cegemail/dvla/en/vehicle_2_21.html0

Why not close this forum down altogether then if no-one's allowed to ask for info or advice anymore.

On the contrary, the forum serves a very useful purpose for those queries where members' knowledge and experience (or opinions) are relevant.
In this case, there is only one right answer. It's interesting that the two members who have responded with answers have both pointed to the DVLA website, which the "friend" could have found for him/herself just as easily as posting on here.0 -
