Hi all - first time posting here. My brother was recently left permanently disabled following a stroke. He lives alone and his only source of income is benefits. Our mother is getting on and wants to protect any inheritance my brother may get. The government allows for this via 'Trusts for vulnerable people'
Has anybody got experience of setting one up or being a trustee of such a trust?

You need to seek legal advice - each trust is set up specifically to the requirements of the person.

I set one up for my son through Mencap. I don't know if their scheme would be suitable for your brother but I found them very helpful and they were significantly cheaper than various law firms I approached so it might be worth having a look:
