Change of name - impact on holiday booking

I recently got married so am in the process of changing my name. However, our honeymoon (which will be in September) was booked under my maiden name so I'm not able to change my passport until we return.
My question is whether I have to inform my travel insurance provider, and update my name on my EHIC card, before I go on holiday? I feel like it is better to have insurance/EHIC that matches the name on my passport and my hotel booking, but I'm also aware that I'm meant to stop using my old name now that I've adopted my new name.
I don't think this makes a difference but in case it's relevant I've had to change my name by deed poll, rather than using my marriage certificate as evidence, because my new surname is not exactly the same as my husband's.
Any help appreciated!

Normally it's fine to travel in your maiden name when you marry because you don't 'lose' your maiden name. I'm not sure it's the same by deed poll as you haven't taken your husbands name (doesn't matter if it's close, it isn't his) which is a whole different kettle of fish.
I would be inclined to leave all the name changes until you return from honeymoon, it's not as if it makes any difference if you haven't taken his name anyway. If you try to change the name on your booking now it may be very expensive.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Your passport name is used for everything related to travel. Don't change anything until after your trip, if ever.Evolution, not revolution0

My wife traveled under her maiden name for our honeymoon. No issues with anything. Just did all the bookings under my surname and if anyone asked for the second surname we user her maiden name. Update everything when we got back0
