They have now delayed my estimated delivery date from 27th Sept to 12th Oct
On a more positive note, after making a bit of a fuss, they have said they will refund me by 5%, although that will only be after I receive the order, so who knows when that will be!
Saying that, they haven't actually charged my credit card yet, which I find a bit weird.... does anyone know at what stage they do this?0 -
For anyone else out there that's still waiting for their Dell order....
Here's an update: apparently mine has been dispatched today, and should get it on Weds, so I advise everyone to make as much of a fuss to Dell as possible!0 -

my estimate delivery changed to 25 october, so i cancelled the order and bought a laptop elsewhere, but on saturday the money was taken and on sunday it was dispatched.
all sorted now though, well no refund yet but hopefully in the next few days. but had i known they would be beating the estimated delivery by nearly a month i would not have cancelled it anyway.0 -

Can somebody tell me which courier company Dell use please? I want to order a machine from them but I won't be in when it is delivered. If I know which company they use I can find out how far away their nearest depot is for collection. I'll look elsewhere if it's too far away.0

Walsh Western deal with the shipment from Ireland (where Dell are based) and then normally transfer to either Business Post or Lynx (whichever is closest).
On the order time subject - I ordered my new desktop on 01/12/07, estimated delivery date was 14/12.
Received an email a few days before the 14th informing me that my order was delayed until 27/12.
Then on the 13/12 received an automated phone call arranging delivery for the 17/12. Gave me the option of AM (7-12) or PM (12-5) delivery. Took the PM option and PC arrived at 12.50.0
