My father died a few years back, and my brother and I dealt with his estate as executors.
My Mum&Dad owned their property as tenants in common - each owning 50%. In his will my brother and I were left equal shares of my Dad's 50%.
We have done nothing about this as of now, but would like to make this official with the Land Registry. Is this a straightforward exercise or is it likely to require legal help?
Thanks in advance

xylophone has very helpfully linked you to another thread which covers the key points it seems.
Just to add to that by saying that it reads as if Mum is still alive so in essence if you decide to change the ownership from her sole name to the three of you then any Transfer would be by her to her + the two of you.
And I would recommend that the three of you do seek some legal/financial advice to understand how the 50/50 split worked and still works, what needs to be done protect everyone's 'new % share' and does the legal title, which we register, need to be amended in the way suggested.
If you decide it does need changing into new names then our online guidance takes you through how to do it yourselves.“Official Company Representative
