ATOL certificate

I have booked a package deal with a travel company who have issued me with an ATOL certificate. However, the accommodation was booked through low cost beds and therefore the accommodation is no longer booked. Does the ATOL protection mean the company has to provide me alternative accommodation/holiday at no extra cost? If alternative accommodation is more costly do we have to pay additional costs if the alternative is more than the atol protected cost listed on the atol certificate?

I suspect this might be a "Flight+" arrangement rather than a "Package".
Your ATOL certificate should indicate one or other. It will also state who is providing cover under the ATOL.

Flight+ is where a travel provider has added two or more travel components together. The accommodation aspect might be from a 3rd party intermediary supplier (which in your case seems to be Lost Cost Beds).

In the case of the failure of one of the suppliers the ATOL holder (named on your certificate) should be rebooking your accommodation or sourcing an alternative. This should be at no extra charge to you.
