Satisfied CCJ

Probably a daft question.

Do satisfied CCJs still showing on credit files reflect 'that' badly on you?

    Maybe.

Each lender may view a satisfied differently.

How old are we talking about ?

I don't believe anyone can say for sure how much it will affect you. Will probably affect you more than if it were say 5 or 6 years

In a generic answer , yes they do. A CCJ is granted after all other avenues of collecting an outstanding debt have been exhausted. So is a reflection of the borrower and their financial circumstances.

    Really...?

My water company obtained 3 ccj"s as water bills where in dispute over a meter reading massive amounts over what would be reasonable to expect.

Basicly had a leak for 18 months and they refused to accept it was there equipment...eventually they did accept blame and paid out a reasonable sum for inconvience.

CCJ"s still stood...despite the bills be obviously wrong...

Did you go back to court and apply to have them set aside?

Yes, for up to 6 years.

(unless you settled them within the permitted 28 days of judgement, in which case they are never shown at all)

Each lender will assess your situation on an individual basis as it will usually depend on your total record (and perhaps what you are borrowing and why)

How on earth did you allow the supplier to obtain 3 CCJs against you, if you believe their bills to be incorrect?

Or couldn't you convince the judge of your defence either?
