Quote Needed

Options
I think it was here I seen a link to a website for comparing quotes, does anyone know?
I want to know what would be reasonable for a ceiling painted in 18ftx12ft kitchen plus skirting and 4 doors.

Walls as well or just glosswork and ceiling?
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

Just ceiling skirting and doors but I had wanted a quote for the walls as well (long story)

Probably a day to a day and a halves work. Allow around £250 for labour plus materials. There maybe VAT on that as well if you elect to use someone who is VAT registered.

That was roughly what I would have thought which was why I checked here, just had a quote 3 times that, pretty sure he's more handyman than painter as well:(

    Totally unreasonable.

We pay £220-240 for a days work which will get an entire room painted (with a very good P&D).

Get some local recommendations and make sure you use a proper decorator (rather than a general handyman).
