2 Halfiax cards - switching credit limit on one to the other?

I have 2 Halifax credit cards - one with a far higher credit limit but that doesn't have 0% interest for 2 years like my new one.

I think I read on here you can ring and they will switch the limits from one to the other, but do I need to do that before activating the new 0% card? I doubt it but wanted to check.

Thanks

They switched my limits within 3 days of me making a telephone request.

    Give them a call.
  • Yeah they switched mine across, but I needed to wait until I'd received the new card and it I had to leave about £200 more than the current balance as the total credit limit.
