Income Protection

Hi All,

I'm looking into Income Protection policies as I am currently having trouble getting critical illness cover.

Please can someone advise me of some reputable on-line brokers that I am able to try for this protection as Martin doesn't appear to have an article on this area.

Thanks for your help.

Rob

  • I have a doctors appt at 9.00 this morning in relation to my income protection cover. I have applied with Norwich Union but dont no the exact figures yet.

They may be worth a look, im sure there are other providers who are equally as good.

    Good luck with it

If you cannot get critical illness cover then there is a good chance you wont get permanent health insurance either.

PHI has very little coverage on the internet. Mainly as there is no standard with income protection and different providers have different terms and conditions. Plus, the plan is generally low profit and paper application only which doesnt fit too well with online IFAs.

There is generally three levels of cover nowadays which the providers seem to be following. Budget, standard and comprehensive. Most offer PHI in those three categories. Although the plans rarely state which they are.
