Cyprus Holiday

I am going with my wife and 16 year daughter to Protaras in Cyprus on the 17 June for 2 weeks.
We have been to the resort before but this time we are staying in the Platomare Apartments which are on the outskirts of Protaras.
Has anyone ever stayed at these Apartments before. I have checked the Holidays Uncovered website and it is mostly good, but I would appreciate it if anyone has first hand knowledge.
Has anyone experience of car hire in the area, and costs.
