You are sounding more upbeat these past couple of days , which is good to hear. Enjoy your busy weekend and the company , hope you can stay in budget.

Thanks. I feel more determined and am not looking at the debt as a whole but just giving myself little aims.

Ive just read back some of my diary and found this from Oct 16:

Reduce minimums by £200 per month so things are less tight ( I'm not setting a goal of how much debt to clear as I would rather it be as much as possible)

-So that hasn’t happened and will actually increase due to barclaycard

Save an emergency fund of £2000

    - I have some savings so am pleased with that

    Lose weight!

    - I did this and haven’t put it back on so am pleased about that!

Spend more individual quality time with my husband and children.
    Learn to relax more

    - need to still work on this!

Enjoy your budgeted days out. I would just try to pay the minimums which are now higher until your income increases and when you have spare money tackle the one card with shortest deal or highest interest rate.

Don't worry what anyone else says.

Thanks, I’m going to focus on the Nuba ... £1590 to go.

You’re early retirement is fast approaching, do you have any plans for your spare time?

Ok good you have a plan :)

Thanks for retirement wishes and yes I have about 3 working days left now until my party on 20th which is last day in the office.

I have lots of plans. Both DH and I have retired in our late 50s and luckily fit and healthy so some travel on cards probably last minute to get some bargains. We look after our granddaughter at least one day a week and have a new grand baby arriving in Spring so will help with him/her too. We both have lots of hobbies and I am the last of our group of friends to retire so lots of social outings too and visits up to London to see my mum, sister and brother.

    Enjoy your day.

I went food shopping today instead and I came under budget by £8 and only spent £8 out of the £15 allocated.

I’ve had a fairly relaxing day visiting friends.
  • £15 saved today is great. What do you tend to do with these savings? Some people have success with PAD or you could stick it in your emergency fund or a fund specially set aside for debt repayments to stock up and help with the higher minimums.

I tend to use the cash for something else that has money in the account allocated and then make an extra payment off the cc.

    Morning,

I spent exactly £20 on the breakfast.

Due to the weather the kids are off but I still need to:

    Dust
    Clean the kitchen
    Wrap business items
    Do survey
    Check accounts
    Look at present list
    Re check meal plan
    Help ds write Xmas cards

Have a lovely frugal day everyone
