undercounter freezer ontop of dryer?(not in use though)

Hi guys

In our spare rooms we currently have a undercounter freezer we used to use when we did our asda and Iceland shop but we not go aldi so get more fresh, we have a fridge-freezer in the kitchen we use.

We are wanting to keep this freezer for the Christmas food in December and for when we get a house but it takes up space in the spare room(storage and gym room) in the flat, if this freezer was not in use can I just stick this ontop of dryer?

thanks

If the dryer is lighter, perhaps put that on top of the freezer.

Are Aldi open on 27th December so you could stock up on fresh?

the dryer is the same size as a washer, its quite heavy yes, also we do a big freezer shop as my partner workds at iceland so we get vouchers to use when we buy all frozen goods on a double discount day early december.

I don't see why not, I would think a small freezer would be lighter than a dryer, though of course heavy when full of food.

What I would do is get a piece of decent plywood, chipboard, hardboard, or several layers of sturdy cardboard to put on top of the dryer first, to protect it from the feet of the freezer.

We have our fridge sitting above our freezer in the kitchen, but we fixed a bit of worktop above the freezer to sit the fridge on.

Do you have kids at home?
You have to secure the freezer to make never fall down.

Some manufacturers sell a plastic stacker to allow you to stack them on top of each other, Id put a piece of wood between them to spread the weight.

Also if its still under warranty, stacking them could void it.

We've got a thick plywood shelf above our tumble dryer with two undercounter freezers on top this setup hasn't caused us any problems at all.
