Dropped kerb and monoblocking

Hi
I am in west central Scotland and have been quoted £2100 and £2300 for 43 square metres of monoblocking, including a raised step to the doorway and removal of a 3 foot wall (10m wide) at the front of the property.
Separately I have been quoted £750 for a dropped kerb at the front of the property.
Are these quotes fair?

£750 for the drop kerb sounds low to me, but I am not in Scotland. Perhaps this is the going rate where you are but make sure you have it in writing from your Council and Highways that you can go ahead. Then make sure an Approved Contractor does the work, with streetworks accreditation, training and insurance - again check this out with your Council.
As for the paving, who knows as there are too many variables to comment. Access, availability of materials, depth of dig, amount of skips or lorries, amount of cuts, edge restraint...0 -
Sounds very reasonable.
Agree with the above, you will need to use a council approved company/contractor for the dropped kerb.Thinking critically since 1996....0
