Posts: 50 Forumite
I had a phone screen crack which I claimed for on Accidental Damage only policy. I have home insurance, and one of the things is a single article limit of £2,500 for 'items inside and outside of the home'.
The exclusions to this are:
• theft, attempted theft or malicious damage caused by paying guests, tenants or you;
• theft by deception, unless deception is used only as a way to get into
the home;
The question I have is related to the story:
I had my phone at my in-laws house to be collected from. My partner (at my request) gave the phone to the collection driver (DPD). The driver did not give him a receipt (and on the O2 insurance email it doesn't say to get a receipt, to be fair). I'm obviously thinking ahead here, but the tracking system is saying that they haven't received the parcel, and it was collected at 12.40!
If this item did get somehow lost, would this be covered under insurance?
