You can find out how much ( if any) the increase will be now by doing dummy quotes online with and without the 3 points.

Check your policy wording to see when your insurer needs to be notified. Some require immediate notification others need it prior to renewal.

Any premium change normally will come at renewal

I expect that gives you pleasure but it makes you seem more than a bit dumb.

A report published in 2008 showed that only 3% of accidents are caused by excess speed, the insurance companies calculate premiums based on complex statistics. 3 points is unlikely to cost much at all.

The biggest danger from speeding is the greater risk of injury to pedestrians and cyclists, but the insurance companies don't really care about that.

Ridiculous comment to make when we all know it`s £763.24 :(

OP as suggested dummy quotes are the best option too many variables for us to say for definite.

There's some people that believe the 1st 3 points won't effect your premium :rotfl: as if the insurance companies are goin to let you off with that !
You should tell your insurance as soon as the points have been added to your licence.
I got 3 points about 10 years ago for 39 in a 30, I reckon my insurance went up £60 a year for the next 5 years.

Three points added precisely nothing to my wife's policy, so 'some people' are right.

No one can tell you. It will depend on the insurance company and the details of the driver in question.

Not necessarily. Some insurers want to know immediately, others only at renewal. Read the policy diocuments.
