Hi guys,
If I want to film pranks etc in the street. Which lens / wireless mic would you recommend?
Sort of Videos BigDaws makes?
see below video
Here is the sort of filming I will be trying to make
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrgPSBaJwZ4
I have a Canon 700D.
I want a wirelss mic where I can pick up sound from a distance so I will have to secure the mic to my t-shirt?
Also, what sort of lens will I need? Some sort of zoom lens?
Budget for mic, £250
Budget for lens, £500
Any other equipment I would need? Do they use anything to keep the camera steady?

The cheapest solution for the mic is to record from your earphones onto your iPhone (or whatever you have). This costs virtually nothing as it uses resources you already have. You can then match up the audio during editing. While this is slightly more complicated, it saves money whole you're getting started!
As for a lens, something like a 55-200mm should be enough.
Good luck0 -

I would tend to go for a more wideangle lens than that, maybe the 24 - 105 f4, because the crop sensor on the 700D will increase the focal length of the lens effectively making it 80 - 300.0 -
Thanks guys,
I don't mind forking out more money for a decent mic as I want good sound quality, any suggestions?0 -

The crop sensor has the effect of /lengthening/ the lens equivalent framing0 -

Ah, thought you were referring to the 55-200. Gotcha, agreed.0
