Domain Names and Email

Options
I need some advice!

I am fed up of changing my email address every time I change ISP. Can I buy a domain name for my family and create email addresses linked to this? Or can you suggest any email service providers.

Basically I want a relatively cheap way to send and receive emails with four different addresses for each member of the family and to be able to access these via outlook express.

I am a bit of a novice so any advice will be much appreciated.

  • Ken....if you want, I can send you 4 Gmail invites. No cost to you, and no fees either. Can also be accessed through Outlook :D

(I'll need you to pm me a valid email address to receive these).
I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the Board Drunk for this board. As the night wears on, my posts will become worse, with simple spelling mistakes, inane ramblings, and a blatant disregard for the truth. I have no authority to do anything, so there's no point asking or telling me. If you see me past midnight, please tell me to get my coat and order me a taxi.

yes yes you can...if you just buy a domain using someone like 123-reg then you can use them to host email accounts...have a look over there and see what i mean. its cheap ~£8 for 2 years...

note: these accounts normally forward your emails to another address eg you buy
z@x.com and have all forwarded to q@isp.com if you change isp you can just change the forwarding address to Z@newisp.com...if you get my drift?

other than that get yourself a gmail account, you will never loose these as long as you signin every so often?
