Never received parking ticket

Received letter from Debr Recovery Plus Ltd today but dated 20/07/16. Stated I had a parking charge dated 29 April and now seeking payment of £149. I did not receive parking ticket on 29 April and as I'd moved house had not received any notices as I had not updates car details at DVLA. I read NEWBIES thread but not sure how I can apply this to my situation. Can you advise please?

you can be fined up to £1000 for not changing your details with the DVLA

its too late to appeal now so you follow post #4 of the NEWBIES sticky thread (IGNORE the debt collectors)

get your DVLA details sorted out , and bear in mind that without a postal redirect in place for your old address it may get court papers and possibly a CCJ in the future due to your errors

VERY FIRST THING .... Get your details updated with the DVLA or they could fine you .... and that's a REAL fine. That includes your driving licence .... up to £1000 fine

Who is the parking company ?

DRP are just a time wasting debt collector which you can ignore, they cannot do ANYTHING.

The parking company can, if they wish proceed so for help, best say who the PPC is and the circumstances

Amazing that DRP have not woken up to the fact that they are time wasters, never mind DO NOT CONTACT THEM, JUST IGNORE

Only time to ask for further help is if the PPC starts court action
  • I changed driving license but forgot about car. Will do that asap.

Parking company is 'Parking Ticketing Ltd'. Your guidance is appreciated.

    Parking Ticketing Ltd
    http://www.bmpa.eu/companydata/Parking_Ticketing.html

    The BMPA advice is
"Our recommendation for this operator: Ignore but keep paperwork."

They don't very often go to court.

Was this in a retail park or where was it and what is their claim
Parking Ticketing Ltd offer 2 services:
1: They provide a warden and pay the company who employed them a commission of 10%
2: They offer self ticketing and pay 20%-30% commission.

Post Four deals with your situation exactly.
  • I was parked in a small promenade of shops in a disabled bay which was not clearly marked. I had a conversation with the attendant and the ticket was not issued to me. I do not have a copy of ticket and the first I knew of charge was when I received notice from DRP yesterday.

The circumstances make no difference. Take the BMPA advice:

"Our recommendation for this operator: Ignore but keep paperwork."

Come back if (within 6 years) the scumbags try a small claim instead of silly DRPlus or Zenith letters (we don't want to know about them!).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
