Fraud / Hard Search

Hi.
I've searched and can't find any other threads or I'm typing in the incorrect search.
So I was unfortunate enough to have some use my identity to get a loan out in my name luckily i didn't pass the search - However rang the company ASAP who removed added me to CIFAS - However its been 35 days and it's still showing on my credit file.
So I rang the company (Sainsburys) Who advised me it takes upto 60days. Is this correct with it being confirmed by them a fraudetly use?
As HSBC have advised it takes 10days to be removed and will see on my next report which sounds more accurate.
Surely if it does take upto 60days thats unfair on someone who's had confirmed fraud.
The reason being is I'm looking to leave jobs, which means I'd have to hand my car back in. So would need a new car ideally looking at the just add fuel deals and this would be in the next 60days. So too many hard searchs at once doesnt help.
Any help would be great.

Hi Danielc9,
It will depend on the policy of the bank in a fraud scenario, generally speaking, if an error has been identified it will be corrected within 1 month but that isn't an official rule - just good practice. All you can do is continue to chase the bank, I would back up all phone calls with an email/ letter and stress the reason you need this doing ASAP.
You can also chase this up with the CRA directly if you have paperwork from the bank confirming you were the victim of fraud and they may be able to bypass the bank. Good luck,
Laura

Thank you Laura. I had a feeling this may be the case. HSBC are fine they have everything stating 10days on letters.
Sainsburys letter didn't state so if it still shows next month I'll have to keep calling them up about it.0
