Morning all, thanks nmlc for the thread.

Gers - thinking of you today
TA - congrats on the new arrival
Lainey - good to hear mum is eating
Jackie - owwww for your daughter

DH has just left in the minibus for Poole. You honestly couldn't have fitted in a waffer thin mint with 28 kit bags and sleeping bags, tents, tables and all the food. The 24 scouts and 3 other leaders are getting the train and meeting him there, then they will get the ferry to Brownsea Island. A logistical nightmare, but they should have fun once there.

I'm at the church once I've dropped DS2 off at the station. A few errands to run this afternoon and DD wants to dye her (chestnut) hair blue so I've said we shall have a go later. Hopefully it will wash out before BILs wedding on 20th August.

Will give the downstairs a once over with the vacuum as lots of kit was stored in the dining room over the weekend. Looking forward to a quieter week!

    Have a good day all

    Good morning chums,

Gutted the weekend is over! Although my GF had said we were going to Chaophraya, she had actually booked us into a restaurant called Anchor Line, a fish restaurant which is supposedly renowned for its lobster (my favourite). It was absolutely delish! Then on Sunday I managed a round of golf, in the pouring rain, followed by a lovely family dinner.

Back to the grind today with a busy week ahead. It's my birthday tomorrow and my boss questioned why I hadn't booked it off work. To me, it's another working day and work is priority. She explained that she has never worked her birthday before and when she was at school she'd take the day off then too!

Anyway, tonight I've been asked to go for "a chat" for another job. I'm treating it more as an interview though but there words were, "would you like to come in for a chat". They approached me too which I take as a good sign so I'll update you all in the morning.

TA - Congrats on the great news and hope all goes well today.
Lainey - Glad your DM had a better day. Hope that continues.

    Have a nice day everyone.

    Good morning everyone :hello:

It's quite dull and overcast this morning but a lot cooler so that is much better for me. I was up three times in the night due to having a full bladder as I did nothing but drink water yesterday but it's nice to know my kidneys are working well :D.

It's my son in law to be's birthday today so I will ask the girls to go and get him a nice card and put some money in it. He is very difficult to buy for and this is the best solution I have found.

We had a lovely relaxed weekend and now I am very happy as all my girls are home with me for the next 6 weeks. My friend Rose is coming to see me this morning which will be lovely. She has been in Spain for the past few weeks so we have a lot to catch up on over a cup of tea.

We are having steak pie, peas and chips for tea. I will probably find something more suitable for me in the freezer.

Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx

  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

A lot cooler this morning, I have made an appointment to see the Dr re my hip tomorrow, its really bugging me now, I was limping quite a bit yesterday. Mind you my ex was in worse condition than me. He broke his leg about 30 years ago, has had nothing but trouble with it ever since. He could hardly walk when he got out of the car.

My Grand daughter announced that she is 10 weeks pregnant.......she has polycystic ovaries and had been told it was doubtful she would conceive naturally, but she has. Its rather put a large foot in things, she is due in February, wedding October 2017.......hmmmm DD1 is convinced it will be a boy. I had to remind her that it was not unusual in our family for the first baby to be a girl!!

Hey ho not sure if the knitting needles will be out or not. I might see what second size stuff I can get in a neutral colour.....

Came home from the party yesterday with enough food for our supper tonight, so the lamb thats left will be sliced and frozen, we can use it for a roast dinner sometime and any bits will due for samdwiches.

No Monday clean done, might just throw the cloth at the bathroom and clean out the bath, give the loo a brush over and leave it at that. The place is not dirty, it had a clean on Friday.

Need to do a freezer audit and sort out Augusts menu and shopping list, will not go to Aldi until next week sometime, Thursday and Friday are busy this week.

    Hi guys
I am sorry I haven't been on. I ended up in hospital for a week, then I was in the hospice for a week. I had a bad fall in the hospital and was really ill. Now however, I am back home and progressing well.
    :T
Hopefully I will be posting again.
Got a lady coming in to assess me for some careers starting tomorrow.
Anyway. Hope everyone else is at.

I have some paperwork to do and post later and have had a late breakfast of tea and a bacon sandwich. Lunch will probably be a burger (SW) and cous cous with lots of drinks of water.

    csarina

Great news about the baby :j and I really hope the doctor can help with the hip pain.

    Hilstep

I just saw your post and am so sorry about your fall and hospital but glad you are back now.

I thoroughly enjoyed Star Trek yesterday and had planned to get the 5.15 bus home only to find it was 5.30 according to the timetable and then re scheduled to six p.m. Rather than stand around in the heat I walked one bus stop to the train station, visited the ladies and then bought a chilled bottle of water to sip. Finally got home at nearly seven and glad to put my feet up.

Decided to do very little today and keep hydrated as I am not good in hot weather even as a child.

    Hugs to all

    Afternoon all,

Hilstep, sorry to hear that you have been in hospital, glad that you are now home, take care.

Hugs to all who would like one.

Yesterday was a nice day, apart from one very heavy shower, no rain so far today, pleased as gardener man is here to clear up mess in the garden, neither OH or I have the energy these days to do much out there, so things have got out of control....he seems to be doing well, hopefully we will be able to keep it in check with an odd half day from him.

Roast chicken,, potatoes, broccoli and some other veg for dinner this evening, might make something with rhubarb if Im not too lazy later on.

Fed up knitting baby cardigans, think that I will move on to blankets for a bit, needing some light ones for Baby November in Australia.

    Have a good day everybody
