Changing my address for my bank to a foreign address

Hello,
I left the UK but my banks (Hallifax and Lloyds) still have my old UK address. I have an address in Spain.
I still use those accounts but my bank cards will expire in a few months and I was wondering if it is possible to tell them I am abroad without any inconvenience and ask them to send there the cards when the time comes.
What do you think? Anybody has done this before?

You may be able to update your address by online banking or you may need to send a letter. All Banks have different security requirements for address changes and I've no experience of Lloyds or Halifax.
There should be no problem with updating to a Spanish address but I would check that they are happy to send your renewal cards to it.0 -
Do your bank accounts require UK residency?0

You can have your address changed to Spain and cards sent out there.
What you cannot do is apply for any credit products such as loans or update any savings account you have (including topping up ISA's).
So if you have a savings account on a bonus for say 12 months when that is up you will be stuck on the default rate thereafter.
If this is likely to be a problem you need to contact their overseas banking department or move the funds elsewhere.0 -
Yeah Lloyds International are the expat/international/offshore type arm of Lloyds Banking Group.
I've heard they're ok.Thanks
