Morning all,
Been a couple if showers here this morning but its brightening up now, I have a towel load to go on the line, dd not bought her washing down yet so she can do that today.
Got lots of salad bits for the week so dinner will be some thing with new pots and salad actually I think there is some corned beef or tins of fish in the cupboard so no oven to go on.
We are off to a local village that has a garage sale trail this afternoon, don't need any more junk but will be nice to look around, when we get back we need to do an online shop and take the dog for her short walk, only a few more days to go !
Have good days all xx0 -
ELONA thanks for the tip re bicarb, I've not tried that. I'm dabbing on some cheap over-the-counter stuff, without much effect!
It's feeling very heavy here now so I wouldn't be surprised if we got a sudden downpour!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Morning all,
Just got in from Lylas walk,Dh usually comes with me on a Sunday so we go a bit further.Rain kept threatening but we only got a bit wet.We were later as we had our friends round last night.I was tired as the
house needed a big clean before they came ,after DGC overnight stay!
DS and I took them to a new playcentre in town yesterday morning,it was ok and the walls/decor were fab but we thought they hadn't got the layout right, the cafe was tucked round the back so you couldn't really see the children if you went & sat down,so a lot of the parents were just milling around the sides. It had a little train though & they could go on as much as they liked so that was a hit. Went to the park before coming home. The house is very tidy now, wonder how long for.
There is a garden party at the old Hall near us,they were setting all the stalls up when we walked past with the dog so we may have a walk back up there later. There was torrential rain at the same event last year and it's not very promising today. Need to do a food shop too,not sure what I fancy doing for tea yet so will pick something up.
Hope you all enjoy your day xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Afternoon all.
Wet and miserable here.
OS wise - I finished off the cushions for the nursing chair and we put it up in the nursery. For anyone who wants a peek the link is here:

I used the same material as the ottoman that I recovered. Cushions are removable in case of accidents! It's such a comfy chair. It retails at £160 but I got it second hand for £30, barely used, and spent £25 on material and bits needed to make the cushions.
Also emptied DW and put laundry away.

They look lovely flutterby, you have made a really good job of covering them. Such pretty material too."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

Great job FB - well done!
I was right, lunch was a 'bribe' but I don't mind as the lady is aged 80 years and just wants some letters written...and her ipad sorted out...and her printer set up.
Before I went out I did a small wash and hung it out and it's rained or drizzled ever since. I'm leaving it all out now.
Tomorrow I've got funeral to go to. Very sad, a young 17 year old. Can't imagine how it's going to be so need to gird my loins and stuff tissues in my bag. Tonight I'll finish off the half bottle of wine which has been in the fridge since Tuesday.0 -
Hi chums decided to give the coast a miss as DD is off on Wednesday this week, so hopefully the traffic will be a bit better by then.
Had a productive day though, and got the ironing done out of the way instead, and a bit of knitting, and read some of my library book.Just off to DD's for dinner now, roast lamb with all the trimmings.
Still very hot and sticky, so DD and I will sit on her decking, which will be shady by now, and natter while my son-in-law cooks the meal bless him.

Had a lovely time at my daughters this afternoon, my eldest grand daughter was there, she has just found out she Is pregnant. It's a minor miracle, she has polycistic ovaries and had been told it was unlikely that she would get pregnant. So another great grand child, my daughter thinks it's going to be a boy. I reminded her that in our family a majority of first babies had been girls, including herself.!! We will see. I came home with flowers and a birthday present.
It was good to catch up with family we do not see very often.0
