HSBC Regular Saver

Does the HSBC Regular Saver take 2 days to setup and appear in online banking ?

Thats what my app said.

I mainly did it to get my internal behaviour score on the right track after just joining the bank.

I presume the standing order to that account will help - does the amount actually matter or can it just be the minimum 25 GBP ?

Thanks

Matter in terms of what, exactly? Why wouldn't you put the most you could afford each month into an account that pays a market-leading rate?

If you purely mean "internal behaviour" and/or internal rating/score, then it won't matter at all. They'll be far more concerned with the size of your monthly credit...which will determine what they can cross-sell you.

I think I remember it taking a day or two to open online. Was not instant like most are.

Yes just as HSBC said it takes two (working) days to appear in online banking and that becomes the opening day when the first payment is transferred across from the Current account. Then HSBC set up the eleven further standing orders at the amount specified which can be changed in the future if desired.

So yes HSBC are telling the truth;)
