Windows 10 and WMP

I have changed from Vista where I easily downloaded BBC podcasts to iTunes and then to my MP3 player.

I am finding it difficult to work out how to do this now as WMP does not appear to be compatible and my subscribed podcasts are not downloading automatically as they did in the past nor are the new ones downloading.

I have searched in case they are stored somewhere else on the PC but to no avail.

Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks.

    Have you not reinstalled iTunes?

Yes, thankyou, I have tried this but tried again after your post - no luck.

The BBC seem to have changed their way of subscribing so I am finding it difficult.

If only I had a brain!!!

    Thanks again.

They just look like simple mp3 downloads. http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/radio1
    Am I missing something?
What mp3 player do you own?

Did you listen to your podcasts within iTunes or on an iDevice?

If not, iTunes may have stopped downloading new episodes.

You can tell if this the case by viewing your podcasts within iTunes and selecting the "My Podcasts" view. Click on a podcast in the list of podcasts to the left of the main view to display downloads of that podcast in the main view. If, next to the title of the podcast in the main view, there's an exclamation mark, it means that iTunes has stopped downloading new episodes of that podcast. If you click on the exclamation mark, iTunes gives you the option to re-commence downloading new episodes.

My device is a Sansa Fuze and this is what I used in the past without any problems downloading to iTunes and syncing to the MP3 player.

Now the original podcasts that I subscribed to are automatically downloading to iTunes but none of the new ones. There are no ! at all.

But now I cannot sync anything to my MP3 player and can't work out what I am doing wrong.

I have read that the BBC have changed their method of podcasting but whatever I try seems beyond me. This is a mystery when I used to do this so easily.

    Thanks

I still don't understand the complication in downloading them manually and simply dragging them on the Sanza. No iTunes necessary at all other than for perhaps auto-downloading. I would add that I have no experience with podcasts at all. :)
