Afternoon, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
I have spent all morning cleaning my machine. I have put it on Ebay, will see if it goes, it should do its in very good condition and has just been serviced. I am in the process of buying a new one.
OH has been pottering in the garden this morning. More sweet peas and he has also picked a load of calebrese. I will have to have a look see about freezing it. I have also pulled some rhubarb. I will have to pull some more next week, I do not pull it after the end of july, we just give it masses of horse dung and leave it.
Visitors yesterday bought me a plant I have never heard of before, apparently it takes 3 years to flower. its 3 years next year so hopefully we will get some flowers.
OH is having his siesta, I need to wash my hair, we are going to DD2's for a family tea party, got out my one and only dress, tried it on, it still fits, so gave it the once over with the steam iron, its hung on the bedroom door.
We ate so much at tea time yesterday we did not want our supper, so I did poached eggs on toast. So fish and wedges tonight, with some of the celebrese mountian thats in the fridge.0 -
Afternoon all
Today was OH's daughter's birthday party at local trampoline venue, just 4 kids so not a headache. All seemed to enjoy. I took the cupcakes I had made and we bought a few bits for party bags.
OS wise - not much. mini food shop this morning for a few bits. DW will go on tonight. Laundry needs putting away from yesterday. OH is making a curry for dinner tonight.

Camelot - you inspired me this morning to get over to Arran for the shop sale and got lots of bargains. Arran was really busy and I had to wait for over an hour to get back home, they really need a bigger ferry. There's a lovely shop next door which sells a whole load of totally unnecessary but deeply wanted stuff, including mini Scottie dog shortbreads. :j
When I got home a neighbour dropped round to put the table together, along with his hyper sprocker which had been in the sea. Cue one of my shoes going missing and a wet smelly dog sitting on my feet. Luckily the table didn't need as much work as I assumed so we could sit and have a wee dram afterwards. I'm now sitting at the table happily with straight shoulders.
Tomorrow will be another trip to the tip with the huge amount of cardboard and polystyrene from the packaging.
My day was fine, hope everyone else's was too.0 -
Ah Gers, a trip to Arran. I must go again some time. Went to DDs shop and got £220s worth of candles, toiletries and gifts for £70. Still a lot but that's most of my christmas shopping done! Only one thing hasn't made it - I have already opened one of the reed diffusers and it is smelling gorgeous.
Whilst I was in Glasgow I went into a fabric shop and had a fabulous time. A lovely assistant helped me with a few stupid questions I had and got me everything I needed. She had retired once and now works part time and clearly enjoys her work. I will definitely go back there, there was a sale on too.
Made another bag this afternoon, will give it to DD for her birthday next week. Have just cut out a drawstring wash bag for neighbour's DD who is going to Guide camp next week but will sew it tomorrow as I've had a glass of wine with my dinner!0
