Hi, I recently bought Galaxy Note 4 - not new but in grade A condition.
I found the phone is getting to hot just after around 10 mins usage.
Is there anyway to resolve this issue?
Thanks

Root it and remove the bloatware.
Close all the junk running in the background. Rooted the wifes S4 mini and the battery now lasts over 4 days.
Rooted my S4 and removed some of the Vodafone bloatware, but i use a lot of the stuff on my phone so i cannot go as far as i did with hers.
Tempted to removed the stupid peel infrared remote, i only use it to wind people up and often its running when its not supposed to be running.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Flagship devices are at the edge of the technology and often run pretty toasty.0

I have a Note 4 and yes it can get really hot, especially on the back upper half so seems to be electronics rather than battery, its normal.
If you have not already updated it to Android 6.0.1 marshmallow I would AVOID doing so, its more buggy, laggy and power management is rubbish on this version (supposed to be better!) its taken half a day off my battery life with all the savings activated, also I have to kill apps more than ever, stick with Lolipop until the next version comes along.0 -
Hi, Thanks for the replies. The handset is already updated to android 6.0.
By rooting the handset - will it resolve temprature issue? Adv advice how can I root my handset?
Thanks again.0 -
Rooting will not do anything but change a system file to user access .
Rooting will void your warranty .
If hot and you don't define hot first Factory Reset .
Root / bloatware

Agreed, I find my Note 4 can get hot particularly when running continuously on mobile data and it gets particularly roasting when doing gps routing. I've got the system update prompt for Marshmallow but I've been ignoring it as the phone is working fine as it is.
