Hi all
We've been working hard on a new and exciting tool for the site over the past few months. We're now ready to share this with a few volunteers so that we can gather your feedback on how it works.
What will I need to do?
You'll be asked to trial the new tool and provide your feedback via an online survey. Taking part will mean you get to use this part of the site before it is more widely launched - hopefully you won't spot any problems, but it'd be great to get your comments on what work works well (and not so well).
How do I get involved
To take part, all you need to do is email DETAILS REMOVED
We'll then be in touch with more information later next week.
Thanks
MSE Dan

Don't you think it would be a good idea to give some idea NOW of what the tool is designed for?
Otherwise, you might get volunteers testing a tool that they will never use in reality after testing.
(And therefore might be rather a bored tester during the testing process.)
Or you might get people 'volunteering' now, who will simply 'unvolunteer' when you reveal that the tool is something they have no interest in.0 -
I tested(just some bits because the answers looked wrong) parts of the ultimate mortgage calculator and found problems & reported them.
they had not been fixed last time I checked which was a few month back but more than a year after testing.
Agree with MB whats the tool?
Might have been a good idea to ask for views on the specification before you spent a load of money and time on development.
Good testing/quality starts at the idea stage to make sure you are building the right thing.0 -

Hi Mandelbrot and getmore4less
I'm afraid that just now I'm not able to share any more detail about the tool that will be tested, other than it is around MoneySaving and developing on some of the areas which we already cover on the site.
The testing at this stage really is just around the functionality (the tool is fully built) to make sure we're aware of any problems with the journey before we share it with a wider group.
Thanks
