I am looking for best value taxi transfer from Gatwick airport to Wallingford, Oxfordshire. Can anybody recommend a company. They need to be reliable. Public transport would not be an option. TIA.

Don't use the official Gatwick Airport taxis as they charge a fortune.
You could try one of these local taxi firms:-
United 01293 429429
EVO 01293 730730
ACE. 01293 8888880 -

How many people and why is public transport not an option? you can get from Gatwick Airport to Didcot with a change at Reading, Didcot is only 6 miles from Wallingford.
Go Green Taxis in Didcot do airport transfers might be worth giving them a call.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -

That would depend on whether the local companies would want to tie up a car for half a day on one fayre, I used to drive from Didcot (which is near Wallingford) to Gatwick Airport on a regular basis, it's not a good route, from Wallingford it's a slow drag down to the M4, then you've got 50mph limits on the M25, it's at least an hour and a half one way on a good run, in heavy traffic it could be two and a half hours or more.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
One person. Starting work at 0400, working all day, flying to LGW with lots of luggage makes use of public transport not a feasible0

All, along with Go Green offer Airport tranfer services, it won't be cheap though, Gatwick is around 85 miles from Wallingford.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
On their site these people quote £120 Wallingford to Gatwick. It will be more in the reverse direction as there will be car park charges to pay and maybe a bit extra for the driver hanging around waiting.

I used to do it for a living, I said it wouldn't be cheap I've supplied a few links, it's up the OP to get quotes, those prices on that website are from £120.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -

Is your employer paying? If so, I understand that you need "reliable" rather than affordable, and so this is probably not the best site to find what would normally be a luxury.
If money is any kind of issue, I suggest that you take the train to Reading (you mention luggage, but if you are allowed to take it on the 'plane then you can get it on to the train). A taxi from Reading would be significantly cheaper.0 -

At the rates in this area, a taxi from Reading would be about £30.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0
