credit limits cut or not?

Hi.

I have a few credit cards with a large credit limit. Is it a good idea to cut the limit down to a manageable limit, if so will this have an impact on my credit report?

Thanks.

Depends on your balances, income and credit needs.

I've cut nearly £12,000 off my available credit across several accounts. But only because I consider the rebuilding of my credit history done and only needing maintenance. Previously, I hesitated to cut my available credit mainly because the accounts were relatively long-standing and perhaps Clearscore is correct, the higher the limit the better!
